We ask the Ward 6 council office to fund restored evening hours (until 8pm on weekdays) and Sunday hours at the Southeast and Riverside branches. Reduced hours since the last budget cycle have left students and shift workers without study or internet access after work.
Why this matters
For a lot of neighbors, the library is the only free place with reliable internet and a quiet desk. Closing at 5pm means it is shut exactly when people finish work or school.
